We are located in a 300 year old house that is fully furnished. The barn includes several museum collections.
The society was formed in 1894 and incorporate two years later. The mission is to collect and preserve items of local history and to share the history with the community.

Almost 10,000 items have been cataloged from soup spoons to farming equipment. That is probably less than half of the items remaining in our collection.
Tours of the house and barn are offered. Teachers, students, girls scouts, and the general public are always welcome to tour the house by appointment or during our monthly open houses.
